Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RPT 0.5 FTE) will be available to float to all units of the hospital as required, and must have current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and up to 3 months of nursing experience.
Requirements
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Up to 3 months Nursing Experience
- Knowledge of mental health/addiction issues
- Clear understanding of MHA and relevant legislation
- CPR certification within the last 12 months (BCLS at a minimum)
- Evidence of continuing professional education
- Effective verbal and written communications skills
- Effective interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Problem solving, leadership and management skills in responding to complex and rapidly changing situations
- Sensitivity, skills and experience working with diverse individuals and communities
- English level A- is mandatory in oral expression, oral comprehension, reading comprehension and written expression. Bilingual (French/English) is considered an asset.
