Registered Practical Nurse (Casual 0.0 FTE)

The position requires a Registered Practical Nurse with a Diploma in Practical Nursing and current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario. The nurse will float to all units of the hospital as required and will have technical skills such as glucometer reading, vital signs, and medication administration.

Requirements

• Graduate of recognized Diploma Program in Practical Nursing
• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Knowledge of CNO Standards regarding RPN scope of practice
• Understanding of MHA and relevant legislation
• CPR/AED Certification within the last 2 years
• Completion of Prevention of Violence in the Workplace training (C.P.I.) required
• Commitment to ongoing professional development
• Basic computer skills required
• English level A- is mandatory in oral comprehension, expression, reading and writing
• Bilingual (English/French) is considered an asset
