Job Description
The Salvation Army is seeking compassionate individuals to join their Herkimer Corps Team as a Part Time Soup Kitchen Cook. This role involves preparing and serving meals for a large number of individuals while adhering to health code regulations. The position offers a rewarding work experience with company contributions and supportive benefits.
Requirements
- Plan menus weekly
- Prepare meals for approximately 60 people 3 times a week
- Supervise kitchen volunteers
- Ensure all health code requirements are met
- Maintain the cleanliness of the property
- Be responsible for the overall cleanliness of the property
- Complete Volunteer, community Service, and Department of Social Services paperwork
- Attend weekly Staff meetings
- Stock and inventory stored food
- Assist with food ordering and donations
- Provide volunteer orientation
- Actively recruit volunteers
- Assist with food pick ups
