Job Description
The Salvation Army Syracuse Area Services is hiring Community Based Therapists to provide therapeutic services to children and youth. The part-time opening has the potential to convert to full-time and comes with benefits even at part-time status. The role involves providing counseling services, creating treatment plans, and working with families to achieve emotional, behavioral, and mental health goals.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in a mental health field (e.g MFT, MHC, MSW, Creative Arts Therapy)
- Applicants with a limited permit working towards licensure are welcome
- Candidates enrolled in a related graduate program may be considered
- Experience working with children through work, internship, volunteering or personal life is preferred
- Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable private transportation that meets Salvation Army insurance requirements
