Requirements
- Accurate receiving, storing, shipping, repackaging, and palletizing of product to meet company standards of sanitation, safety, security and productivity.
- Pick and pack (order picking and/or assembly of products in less than full case lots), light assembly (assembly of light mechanical or electrical component parts or sub-assemblies that may require the use of hand tools) and record storage.
- Repack or re-box cases per customer instructions.
- Repair and recoup damaged goods as required.
- Count all product, compare to manifest and check all shipments for damage, infestation and production code dates.
- Report shortages, damages and miss-shipments on appropriate forms.
- Sign for inbound shipments when necessary.
- Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations.
- Efficiently stack and store merchandise.
- Ensure that the correct number and type of product is picked.
- Compare quantity, labeling and address with order to ensure outgoing shipments are complete and correct.
- Transport orders to shipping locations or delivery platforms with material handling equipment.
- Stencil, tag or mark orders as required.
- Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed.
- Accept signature for outbound as necessary.
- Efficiently move product into trailers, rail cars or containers.
- Assist in physical inventories and cycle counts.
- Ensure proper stock rotation.
- Operate shrink-wrap machine.
- Charge forklift battery/gas tanks as needed; repair pallets when necessary; clean railcars, trailers, and truck bays as requested.
