Job Description
Disney Entertainment and ESPN Product & Technology is seeking a Lead Media Systems Engineer to lead the acquisition, production, and distribution of media content. The ideal candidate will have experience in ensuring efficient sustainment, uptime, and overall stability of technical environments in enterprise network engineering, design, and operations.
Requirements
- 7+ years of previous and relevant experience in ensuring efficient sustainment, uptime, and overall stability of the technical environments in enterprise network engineering, design, and operations.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Expert-level proficiency in routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and network security protocols.
- Strong understanding of SDN (Software Defined Networking), network automation, and orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
- Understanding of SMPTE standards for broadcast television and video production/streaming environments with a current certification such as not limited to ST 292M, ST 424M, ST 2110, ST 2059, IEE1588, ST 2022-7, SCTE-104, etc.
