Senior Android Developer

The Weather Company is searching for a Senior Android developer to join our flagship Android development team. This team is responsible for our native Android efforts on smartphones and tablets, both current and in the future.

Requirements

• Continue the development of existing world-class products for the consumer weather space
• Deliver new and innovative products for mobile users
• Participate in code reviews, refactoring code as needed, and assisting others where needed
• Work in a team-oriented, agile environment
• Evaluate the Length of Effort to implement the requirements
• Provide alternative solutions that may provide a lower cost of implementation or maintenance when appropriate
• Identify performance bottlenecks or resource contention issues and define solutions
• Correct defects in the existing product
• Implement new features or improvements to the existing product or upcoming product as needed
• Create efficient, performant algorithms
• Work with Quality Assurance and Testing to deliver well-tested and working applications that meet required specifications
