Weir is seeking a Marine Engineer Specialist to work within the integrated team of mechanical systems and equipment. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise for designated systems and equipment during design, installation/implementation, operation and maintenance activities.

Requirements

• Recognized technician certification or military technical certification at the RQ-PO1, QL-6 or QL-7 level
• Mastering maintenance procedures and documentation
• Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and O365 environment
• Developed skills in technical writing and verbal communication
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team
• Ability to manage a mix of office and on-site/workboat/shipyard work
• Attention to detail and solid organizational skills, capable of meeting project deadlines with a minimum of supervision
• Solid practical knowledge of maintenance, operation, design and/or troubleshooting of a wide range of marine systems
• Previous experience with DRMIS/SAP
• Previous experience within the Royal Canadian Navy, Canadian Army, Royal Canadian Air Force or Canadian Coast Guard
• Familiarity with certification requirements, including but not limited to classification societies, SOLAS/IMO, IEEE, CSA, warship code and MDN regulations is an asset
