Project Safety Manager - Industrial Construction

The Weitz Company is hiring a Project Safety Manager to join our Industrial team in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The Project Safety Manager will provide site safety leadership and oversight for their assigned project, providing consistent implementation of company safety standards and programs, and supporting preconstruction safety planning and jobsite safety auditing and incident investigating.

Requirements

• 3+ years of construction safety experience
• OSHA 30 certification preferred
• Excellent judgement and problem-solving skills
• Ability to build positive relationships across the organization and provide conflict resolution and coaching to the team
• Ability to resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner
• Comfortable speaking in front of a variety of audiences of various sizes
• Detail-oriented and highly organized
• High level of initiative
• Excellent verbal and written communication
