Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner (PA/CRNP)

A Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner provides primary care services, including assessing and managing patients in the clinic following established standards and practices of the clinic.

Requirements

• Examine and treat patients
• Instruct and counsel patients
• Communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other health-care workers
• Interpret diagnostic test results including to assess and identify deviations from normal
• Make and assist with diagnoses and decisions about management and treatment of patients
• Obtain, compile and record patient medical data
• Order diagnostic tests
• Prescribe therapy or medication
• Perform therapeutic procedures
• Instruct and counsel patients about prescribed therapeutic regimens
• Provide physicians with assistance during medical procedures
• Visit and observe patients as needed
• Complete documents, charts, triages etc.
• Commit to thirty-six (36) hours of patient care per week and four (4) hours of administrative time
• Satisfy expectation of zero charts overdue > 10 days and no more than 100 at end of month
• Participate in weekly call schedule
• Participate in Saturday or Sunday rotation
• Participate in holiday rotation
• Work additional hours/days to cover colleague time off and staffing emergencies as needed
• Participate in nursing home rounds as needed
