Job Description
Thinkific is a learning commerce platform connecting communities, courses, and content with commerce. They are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead technical initiatives, align engineering strategy with business outcomes, and scale their end-to-end systems for scalable and reliable product growth. The role involves leading development and infrastructure, collaborating with different teams, and contributing to company culture and employee growth.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in a Senior Technical Leadership role (Principal or Staff level)
- Experience working in a Principal Engineer or Architect role
- Proven ability in architecting and delivering cloud-native solutions at scale
- Demonstrable strategic architectural ownership
- Expert-level knowledge of relational and non-relational database technologies
- Strong customer and stakeholder empathy
- Hands-on approach to continuous learning
