Mechanical Engineer (USCG/Navy)

THOR Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support marine engineering efforts for the U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Navy, and commercial shipbuilding efforts in Arlington, VA. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with U.S. Federal or commercial shipbuilding programs, standards, and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or another relevant technical, engineering, or a marine discipline from an ABET-accredited institution
• At least three (3) to five (5) years of progressive experience in naval architecture
• Experience with computer applications relating to shipboard mechanical systems
• Familiarity with USN, USCG, IACS and/or commercial ship design rules and regulations
• Proficient with common productivity software
• Strong communications skills
