Job Description
The Assistant Chief Engineer will report to the Chief Engineer and be based at our Class A property The Franklin in Chicago. The Assistant Chief Engineer is responsible for the overall performance of the building systems, assisting the leadership of the Engineering team with operational management and administration of the engineering team with the objectives of safely, efficiently, and effectively operating, repairing, and maintaining, equipment and systems in accordance with the budget.
Requirements
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 6+ years of experience in a building engineering position
- Experience reading and interpreting documents such as blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, diagrams, and procedure manuals
- Universal CFC Certification
- A current and valid stationary engineer’s license
- Membership in the IUOE Local 399
