Perform pre-purchase activities for buyers to ensure effective procurement of equipment and services. Analyze demand, forecast, and on-hand inventory to ensure buyers' purchase requisition queues are accurate. Negotiate non-disclosure agreements for new suppliers, as required.
Requirements
- Minimum Qualifications: Associates degree in business, supply chain management, or industrial distribution, or equivalent via education and/or work experience
- 3 years purchasing or demand analysis experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of purchasing and sourcing systems
- Proficiency in an ERP purchasing system
- Demonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contacts
- Demonstrated successful and positive personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skills
- Demonstrated continuous improvement in areas of responsibility
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Availability to travel domestically and internationally less than 5%, with limited notice
