Job Description
The Staff Pharmacist role, reporting to the Head Pharmacist, is critical for ensuring the safe and effective use of medications. Responsibilities include dispensing prescriptions, providing patient education, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and optimizing patient care. This full-time position requires prescription verification, medication inventory management, and effective communication with staff and facilities.
Requirements
- Doctorate of Pharmacy
- Active State Pharmacist license and State medication handling license
- 1–3 years of pharmaceutical experience
- 2–4 years of long-term care pharmacy experience (preferred)
- Intermediate proficiency with pharmacy software (e.g., Pyxis, MedBank, Frameworks)
- Ability to read/interpret medical and business documents
- Capable of writing clear reports and communicating effectively in person and by phone
- Proficiency in basic math, rates, ratios, percentages, and interpreting graphs and data
