Under the supervision of the OR Clinical Manager, responsible for coordinating and managing activities related to Anesthesia Department, providing anesthesia support services, and maintaining inventory of anesthesia equipment.
Requirements
- Acts as an expert in the field of anesthesia technology
- Maintains an inventory of all anesthesia equipment
- Coordinates and supervises stocking of anesthesia carts
- Oversees and supervises stocking, cleanliness and readiness of anesthesia equipment
- Ensures completion of daily anesthesia apparatus checks and maintains documentation
- Maintains accurate records associated with the care and use of anesthesia equipment and supplies
- Participates in annual performance appraisals
- Assists with all general, regional and MAC anesthesia procedures
- Sets up invasive monitoring equipment, difficult intubations and emergency procedures
- Adheres to infection prevention guidelines and Standard Precautions
