The College of Osteopathic Medicine invites applications for a clinical faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The successful candidate will need to have earned a D.O. or M.D. degree and completed residency. The position requires teaching using a comprehensive range of didactic methods, learner mentorship, precepting, exam proctoring, fostering interdisciplinary research, and participating in academic and service responsibilities at the College and University.
Requirements
- D.O. or M.D. degree
- Unrestricted medical licensure (or eligibility for licensure) in the state of California
- Board certification (or eligibility of certification)
- Clinical practice experience
- Experience in medical education (at the undergraduate or graduate medical education level) preferred
- Research experience, or interest, preferred
- Demonstrated effective organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal relationship and communication skills
- Active participation in professional societies in the local, state and national levels, including the American Osteopathic Association and its relevant State Association.
