Operations Summer Student

The Town of Milton's Operations division is currently accepting applications for the contract position of Summer Student – Operations (Parks). Successful candidates must be able to work from May 1, 2026 – August 28, 2026. Reporting to the Supervisor, Parks, this position is responsible for park maintenance duties.

Requirements

• Performs park maintenance duties including turf maintenance, horticulture planting and maintenance, garbage collection and other park beatification
• Follows a schedule to provide routine service to parks and open spaces
• Operates riding mowers and landscaping related equipment in accordance with industry standards
• Represents the Town of Milton in a professional manner and works as part of a team
• Complies with all health and safety practices as it relates to the work, standard operating guidelines and the Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Performs other duties as assigned in accordance with Department objectives
