Youth Engagement Leader (Part-time)

The part-time Youth Engagement Leader position is responsible for the delivery of quality services, youth programs, and initiatives for youth 13 – 18 years of age.

Requirements

• Working towards the completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in: Education, Child & Youth Care, Social Work, Youth Services, Recreation & Leisure program or related field
• Two (2) years related experience working with and planning activities for youth
• Skilled in relating to and interacting with youth aged 13 – 18 years
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work well independently and in a team environment
• Ability to ensure a high level of confidentiality is maintained
• Standard First Aid and CPR C required
• Safe Food Handling Certification preferred
• Mental Health First Aid and/or Behaviour Management Systems Training (BMS) or equivalent, and/or ASIST – Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training or equivalent is preferred
• Access to transportation to travel between work locations in a timely manner
