Job Description
The Parks Maintenance Supervisor oversees the Parks Maintenance Division of the Public Works Department, ensuring the responsible operation and maintenance of park facilities and amenities. This role involves managing staff, preparing records, performing repairs and maintenance, and ensuring adherence to safety standards. It is a non-exempt position within the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Requirements
- Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions.
- Must be able to operate equipment and motor vehicles.
- Possess the visual acuity to use measurement devices.
- Knowledge of ornamental landscaping, turf management, and arboriculture, especially in a coastal setting.
- Considerable knowledge of athletic field maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
