The cook's role is to oversee the kitchen, prepare meals, supervise staff and ensure guests have an excellent experience during their scheduled shift.
Requirements
- Food preparation, making meals (including special dietary needs), and cleaning up in a timely manner per camp schedules
- Supervising other food staff and volunteers
- Follow all applicable safety rules set by the camp, County Health Dept, and any other appropriate agencies while making sure all staff/volunteers do the same
- Keep kitchen in clean condition to at least meet or exceed all regulatory standards
- Additional Functions:
- Keep Kitchen Manager informed of supply and equipment needs, potential guest issues, and any changes needing to be made
- Model and maintain a Christ-like, servant attitude toward guests and staff
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
