Job Description
Transmutex, founded in 2019, is reinventing nuclear energy/medicine/waste recycling through an accelerator-driven system (ADS) that uses Thorium fuel to generate intrinsically safe energy and recycle long-lived waste. They seek a reactor physicist to perform core design development for their advanced fast reactor system, specifically performing neutronics and reactor physics calculations for a subcritical lead-cooled fast reactor. The role involves designing and analyzing the reactor core with multicultural teams to achieve a safe, efficient, and sustainable core design.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor degree in Nuclear Engineering, Physics, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in neutronics design and analysis, preferably in fast reactors or ADS systems
- Proven expertise in working with Monte Carlo codes (SERPENT2, MCNP6) and deterministic codes such as ERANOS
