Plant Fitter

Transport for London is seeking an Electrical Plant Fitter to join the Depot Maintenance Unit at Stratford Market Depot. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the depot's electrical plant and equipment is available for use by performing preventative maintenance, casualty repairs, and modifications.

Requirements

• Must obtain and maintain the appropriate licenses/certificates for the role.
• Checking and monitoring own work by ensuring they keep up to date with all service bulletins, new procedures, and that Quality systems are adhered to at all times.
• Perform Statutory and Preventative Maintenance on relevant Plant and Equipment, and to contribute to the design and Installation of new static plant and equipment in accordance with design specifications.
• Repair, recondition, and service all types of static or mobile plant and equipment within the workshops, depots, or outlying sites.
• Surveillance of nominated plant items and equipment and provision of detailed records and reports of findings, in accordance with statutory requirements.
• Assist in fault finding on electrical and/or mechanical equipment and the interpretation of technical documentation for the beneficial use in all depot projects.
