Buyer - Aerospace/Defense

The Buyer will execute the delivery and quality performance of Purchase to Pay processes for a site, managing supplier relationships, ensuring timely delivery of materials, and assisting in strategic supplier planning. This role involves rigorous performance management, quality assurance, and identifying areas for improvement within the supply chain.

Requirements

• Manage daily quality and delivery performance through performance management.
• Establish and maintain a forecasting system for supplier partners.
• Ensure continuous supply of required goods and materials and communicate any supply problems.
• Perform supplier audits and maintain supplier qualifications.
• Assist in negotiating favorable prices and services.
• Manage tooling database
• Assist in purchasing, coordinating material group work
• Conduct monthly performance reviews
• Develop vendor managed inventory systems
• Collaborate on cross-functional teams
• Work independently and as part of a team
• Communicate effectively and appropriately
• Work independently on a team
• Work on multiple tasks simultaneously
