Senior Software Engineer, Android

Truecaller is a Swedish technology company that develops a caller ID and spam-blocking service for Android and iOS. They are looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Android to join their team in Stockholm, Sweden. The successful candidate will have experience in Android development, including the Android SDK and modern Android architecture patterns, and will be responsible for collaborating with product managers, data analysts, designers, and engineers to build, experiment, and A/B test new features using Agile methodology.

Requirements

• 6+ years of total engineering experience, with at least 2 years as a Senior or Staff Engineer
• Strong commitment to improving user experience through exceptional engineering and attention to detail
• Deep technical knowledge of Android development, including the Android SDK and modern Android architecture patterns
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin, Coroutines, and Dependency Injection
• Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose and other Jetpack libraries
• Familiarity with modularized app architecture and scalable codebase management
• Experience integrating and consuming RESTful APIs and handling offline scenarios
• Good understanding of testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
• Awareness of app performance, accessibility, and security best practices
• Proficient with Git and collaborative development workflows
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a dynamic, cross-functional, and fast-paced environment
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
