Buyer

As a Buyer, you will be responsible for finding viable partners for sourcing custom and Made-to-Print components to support electronics contract manufacturing. This role includes elements of documentation control, ensuring that our material master is up to date with the latest prints and revisions for all assemblies.

Requirements

• Review customer documentation packages and prints to identify and categorize made-to-print components by sub-tier industry type
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers capable of supporting custom and engineered component requirements
• Work closely with quoting and NPI team to drive costs down
• Source new parts related to implementation of a quote or a quote/buy
• Process order placements and confirmations
• Expedite components as required to accomplish customer objectives
• Manage vendor returns as required
• Quoting, negotiating, and sourcing of made-to-print material
• Analysis, resolution, and recording of purchase price variances
• Investigate and resolve reported shortages
• Maintain Supplier Competency Matrix and line cards in quoting software system
• Update prints and other documentation via engineering change processes
• Work within our Quality and Vendor Management systems to process key workflows
• Set up components and assemblies as required in ERP system
• Maintain material master integrity in ERP system
