Join a team of professionals as a Machinist III - Lathe to operate, set-up and utilize 5-axis mill machines and/or lathe machines. Provide training to level I and II machinists, advise and consult with other machinists and programmers, and perform daily maintenance on machines.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent, approved apprenticeship program or Associates Degree in machining preferred
- 5 or more years’ experience as a CNC Mill or Lathe Machinist
- Proficient in trigonometry
- Ability to use advanced program editing tools in TruePath and/or Mastercam
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel and ERP software
- Advanced knowledge of GD&T and ANSI Y 14.5
- Thorough understanding of blue prints and extensive experience using metrology tools
- Ability to interpret and act on SPC data
- Basic understanding of how different metals affect the choice of cutting tools, and speeds and feeds
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and leadership qualities
