Senior/Project Controls Engineer - Planner - Defence

We are looking for a Senior/Project Controls Engineer to join our Defence Infrastructure Cost Centre team. The successful candidate will have a passion for project controls and experience in planning and scheduling. The role will involve creating and maintaining project schedules, developing project schedules in conjunction with the project manager and team, and reducing uncertainty and improving efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a degree in a relevant technical or management field, professional project controls experience, and proficiency with Primavera (P6) and other planning and resourcing software. The role requires strong leadership, stakeholder management experience, and the ability to work with multiple teams and have multi-disciplinary knowledge. The successful candidate will also be required to achieve and maintain UK MoD Security Clearance (SC).

Requirements

• Create and maintain project schedules that support and align with project requirements.
• Develop the project schedules in conjunction with the project manager and project team.
• Reduce uncertainty, know objectives and improve efficiency.
• Interact with and assist project managers to schedule work and coordinate assignments.
• Evaluate project schedule progress and performance and identify developing problem areas.
• Assist project managers to maintain timely and effective change management processes and procedures.
• Assist project team to develop status reports to keep management informed on project progress.
• Conduct analysis to determine alternative courses of action or recovery on slipped schedules.
