Job Description
Tutor Me Education is seeking passionate and motivated tutors to support students with special needs in New York State. The role involves creating individualized learning plans, providing academic support, behavioral support, progress monitoring, and advocating for students' learning needs. Tutors will utilize assistive technology and collaborate with parents and support staff to provide a supportive learning environment.
Requirements
- New York State Teaching Certification in Special Education
- Certification may be for specific grade levels (e.g., Birth-Grade 2, Grades 1-6, or Grades 7-12).
- Must be in good standing with the NYS Department of Education.
- Students with Disabilities (SWD) Grades 1-6
- Students with Disabilities (SWD) Grades 7-12
- Bachelor's Degree (minimum requirement)
- Master's Degree
- In education, special education, or a related field.
- In special education or a related discipline.
