Job Description
Twilio is seeking a Staff Software Engineer (L4) to build a highly scalable data platform used for strategic decision-making. This role focuses on delivering key technical decisions, guiding other engineers, and ensuring data integrity within a distributed data environment. The position requires a team player with a strong understanding of data engineering best practices.
Requirements
- 8+ years of technical experience in Backend technologies
- Proficiency in high-level programming languages like Scala, Python, and Java
- Strong knowledge of metadata management
- Good understanding of data access management models
- Experience with Kafka, Spark, dbt, Presto, ETL tools, and low-latency data stores
- Experience with Hadoop, Spark
- Experience in building systems for regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI)
- Clear understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies
