Custodian I - Facilities Management

The Custodian I position involves performing manual cleaning and maintenance of buildings and facilities. This role requires physical activity, cleaning and sanitizing, and responding to repairs or damaged areas. The performance is assessed based on completion of assigned tasks and adherence to university policies.

Requirements

• Completion of the tenth grade preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow simple instructions.
• Ability to read simple product instructions.
• Ability to operate equipment.
• Ability to use a mop, broom, dustpan and wringer.
• Ability to climb stairs and occasionally climb a six-foot ladder.
• Ability to make calculations and measurements.
• Ability to deal with students, staff, faculty, and visitors.
