Electrical Engineer 3 – Sustainability

As an Electrical Engineer on the M.C. Dean Sustainability team, you will lead efforts to enhance the performance, safety, and reliability of electrical systems at various facilities. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive sustainable practices while maintaining operational excellence and cost-effectiveness.

Requirements

• Perform detailed arc flash hazard analysis in accordance with IEEE 1584 and NFPA 70E standards.
• Perform short-circuit, protective device coordination, and load flow studies.
• Perform power quality analysis to identify issues at existing facilities.
• Develop electrical system models using software such as SKM, PowerTools, ETAP, or EasyPower.
• Collect and interpret site-specific electrical data, including one-line diagrams, equipment ratings, and protective device settings.
• Develop and update electrical one-line diagrams for client facilities.
• Prepare and review arc flash reports, including incident energy calculations and recommended PPE levels.
• Provide technical guidance and support to clients on electrical safety compliance and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with field technicians, safety personnel, and project managers to ensure accurate data collection and project execution.
• Participate in the development and delivery of training materials on electrical safety and arc flash awareness.
