Job Description
Bowhead is seeking a Senior Application Developer to lead the modernization of legacy DoD systems. The role involves providing technical expertise in cloud-native development, architecture design, and team leadership, and mentoring junior developers. This is a full-time position supporting the Nautical contract in Arlington, Virginia.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related technical field
- 10+ years of progressive software development experience
- Expert-level proficiency in multiple programming languages and development frameworks
- Extensive experience with cloud platforms and advanced cloud services
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud-native design patterns
- Advanced knowledge of containerization, orchestration, and service mesh technologies
- Expertise in application security, secure coding practices, and compliance frameworks
- Strong communication skills
- IAT Level III certification (CISSP, CASP+, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, Associate, GCIH, GCFA, or CSSLP) desired
