Job Description
Umbra is seeking a Senior Spacecraft Systems Engineer to contribute to the development of advanced systems for space-based operations. This role involves technical excellence, ownership and oversight across the product line, and collaboration with leadership in the Space Systems Business Group. The engineer will work on both hardware and software design, contributing to a vertically integrated ecosystem and serving as a mentor to junior team members.
Requirements
- Partner with software and hardware engineers to model and architect spacecraft.
- Lead multidisciplinary design and analysis efforts.
- Derive system and subsystem-level requirements and create effective test plans.
- Develop and release high-quality system requirements documents.
- Manage relationships with third-party customers and vendors.
