Umbra is seeking a skilled Spacecraft Thermal Engineer to support the Mission Solutions business unit. This is a unique role focused on innovative spacecraft thermal systems, optimizing design, and contributing to future U.S. space platforms. The role requires blending spacecraft analysis principles with commercial methodologies and involves a cross-functional team approach.
Requirements
- Create entire spacecraft thermal analysis models
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine requirements
- Develop and run thermal analysis models for satellites and components
- Develop and execute test plans
- Provide thermal engineering support to other engineering teams
- Travel up to 15% between facilities
