- Define architectural policies, principles, and practices guiding component selection and solution design.
- Balance functional, service quality, and systems management needs while managing architectural trade-offs within a major organisational domain.
- Present architectural decisions and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
- Coordinate and govern target architecture across multiple projects and initiatives.
- Maintain architectural stability and ensure consistent design practices and compliance with standards.
- Plan and oversee scoping, requirements definition, and prioritisation for large and complex programmes.
- Select and tailor appropriate requirements engineering methods, tools, and techniques.
- Contribute to organisational standards and practices for requirements management.
- Gather stakeholder input, secure agreement on requirements, and manage competing priorities through negotiation.
- Establish and maintain requirements baselines, ensuring controlled assessment and management of changes.
- Define policies and ensure compliance with systems development standards.
- Integrate security and privacy considerations throughout the system development lifecycle.
- Identify and manage resources required across all project phases.
- Ensure delivery meets technical, financial, and quality objectives.
- Develop or approve network architectures, topologies, and configuration documentation within the area of responsibility.
- Define network design parameters including connectivity, capacity, performance, interfaces, security, and access aligned with business needs.
- Assess network risks and define recovery strategies and contingency procedures.
- Produce multiple architectural views addressing stakeholder concerns and both functional and non-functional requirements.
