Flare Technician II-Public Works

The Public Works Street Maintenance team is seeking a Flare Technician II to join their team. The technician will be responsible for ensuring the proper placement, maintenance, and documentation of barricades and other safety traffic control devices throughout the city.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid CDL and automobile insurance
• Knowledge of Kansas City, KS streets (preferred)
• Ability to operate a two-way radio and follow oral and written instructions
• Capable of standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods and performing physical labor
