Staff Nurse, RN position responsible for operating within scope of practice to coordinate care delivery interventions for residents in accordance with current professional practice standards, physician's orders, community policies and procedures, and local, state and federal regulations.
Requirements
- Must be a graduate of a 2-year accredited nursing diploma school or have a Bachelor's Degree in nursing.
- One (1) year of experience in nursing/long-term care, preferred
- Must be able to operate a computer, the Internet and knowledge of basic office equipment preferred
- CPR certification
- Good base knowledge of pharmacology, treatments, issues specifically concerning the elderly, dementia, various diseases, and side effects
- Demonstrated people skills, with special attention to interfacing with patients' family members
- Working knowledge of different cultures and religions
- Must be familiar with/able to use the following equipment: WiFis, pagers, point click care, computer, sit to stand, hoyer, gait belt
- Must be able to read, write, understand and speak the English language
