Customs Compliance Specialist

We are looking for a Customs Compliance Specialist to join our team at Univar Solutions. As a Customs Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the compliant, efficient, and timely processing of import and export shipments. You will work closely with our Trade Compliance Manager and other internal compliance groups to keep product moving into and across Canada. A University Degree or College Diploma in a related field is preferred, and Canadian CCS Certification is a strong asset.

Requirements

• Canadian CCS Certification preferred
• CTCS certification would be a strong asset
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience importing products, preferably chemical products
• Experience with Canadian HS Classification
• Must be detail-oriented and pay close attention to accuracy
• Must have strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask
• Must have strong computer skills using Microsoft office suite including Outlook, Excel and Word
• A University Degree or College Diploma in a related field (such as: supply chain/logistics, international trade or economics) would be considered an asset.
• Bilingual in French and English is considered an asset
