Peer Tutor, Study & Research Skills (On-Site) for UMGC undergraduate students at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA. Tutoring will be offered on-site via scheduled appointment and drop-in availability.
Requirements
- Be a current undergraduate or graduate student at UMGC with a minimum of two consecutive semesters completed not more than a year ago
- A grade of “A” in any version of PACE (for undergraduate candidates)
- Able to demonstrate fair knowledge of good study skills, reading comprehension, and basic research skills
- Fair knowledge in the use of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint to create content material (e.g., one-pagers and presentations)
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to clearly communicate step-by-step instructions in verbal and written formats
- Ability to work closely with students to ensure student success
- Ability to work with diverse student populations
