Job Description
The University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) is seeking a Student Worker for the position of Director of Government Affairs in the Associated Students of the University of Nevada (ASUN). The Director will provide non-partisan advice to the President and frame recommendations to advance student interests. The role requires strong background in political science and government relations, excellent writing and policy analysis skills, and ability to work effectively with diverse people and communities.
Requirements
- Be enrolled at the University of Nevada, Reno
- Maintain a 2.00 GPA and be enrolled in at least 7 undergraduate credits
- Perform all duties and instructions outlined by the ASUN Governing Documents
- Uphold the Nevada Student Code of Conduct
- Meet all deadlines set forth
- Attend all required meetings and training
- Work scheduled hours
- Properly complete and submit HR paperwork on time
- Assist in the promotion of the mission of ASUN and Nevada
- Behave in a manner that is ethical, maintaining a high level of integrity
