Assistant Medical/ Cast Specialist - Arcadia Ortho Clinic - Full Time 8 Hour Days (Non-Exempt) (Non-Union)

The Assistant Medical/Cast Specialist will assist physicians with minor clinical procedures, including staple removal, suture removal, and wound care. They will also be responsible for scheduling patient appointments, reviewing and coding charge slips, and submitting insurance claims.

Requirements

• High school or equivalent
• Specialized/technical training in an accredited school of Orthopedic Program
• 6-12 months of combined education/experience or at least 6 months of casting experience in an acute care setting
• Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification
• Fire Life Safety Training (LA City)
• Orthopedic Technologist Certified (OTC) or Registered Orthopedic Technologist (ROT) certification
