Performs radiographic procedures and critiques radiograph to ensure high quality images. Applies the principles of radiation safety during the process of acquiring radiographic images. Facilitates and coordinates imaging support in the operating room, patient care units, and clinics.

Requirements

• Proficiency in department exam protocols and procedures.
• Demonstrated proficiency with all imaging acquisition devices.
• Ability to perform all essential functions as listed above.
• Demonstrated effective and appropriate communication skills with patients, visitors, staff and providers.
• Ability to select proper radiograph exposure factors and make the appropriate changes when necessary to ensure quality images.
• Ability to prioritize patient workload and be flexible to meet the needs of the patients.
• Demonstrated proficiency in all radiographic positioning and procedures.
• Ability to obtain imaging on patients of varying ages and abilities.
