Requirements

• Performs various breast imaging procedures with the use of ionizing and non-ionizing equipment
• Complies with ACR imaging guidelines to produce optimum radiographs
• Educates patients regarding their procedure and maintains a safe, comfortable, supportive environment for the patient throughout the exam
• Participates in and is responsible for designated aspects of departmental and procedural quality improvement
• Collects and documents patient information accurately and in a timely manner, and assists in patient follow-up
• Trains new and student mammography technologists to expected performance levels in breast Imaging techniques and quality improvement
• Identifies and assists in rectifying equipment problems
• Inventories supplies
