Job Description
Unlimit is seeking a Legal and Compliance Officer to lead the Legal and Compliance area in Brazil. This role involves managing compliance matters, ensuring ongoing coverage of Brazil's business, and providing legal advice to the business and stakeholders. The position requires a strong understanding of both Brazilian regulations, financial regulations, and international standards. It's expected to be an in-house legal and compliance role, responsible for compliance efforts in Brazil, and potentially in related areas.
Requirements
- University degree in Law
- 5+ years of hands-on legal and compliance experience in Brazil
- In-house legal and compliance and AML/anti-fraud experience in the payments/banking/financial sector
- Experience in Brazil financial regulation is a must
- Comfort performing low- & high-level tasks and working independently/as part of a team
- Excellent research and analysis skills
- Knowledge of industry standards and (internal and external) auditing procedures
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills
- Strong people management and leadership skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
