Assistant Project Manager

Upchurch is a rapidly growing, full-service building engineering company providing mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical services across the southeastern United States. The Assistant Project Manager supports the planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical construction projects, working closely with project managers, field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure ontime, on-budget delivery with high safety and quality standards.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in mechanical or commercial construction
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
• Familiarity with mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, process piping)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and project management tools (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid, BIM 360)
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
• Knowledge of construction contracts, schedules, and basic cost control
