Job Description
Upchurch Companies is seeking a Purchasing Agent to support the execution of established procurement strategies across construction operations. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of purchasing experience within a construction environment and a strong understanding of construction materials, equipment, and project schedules.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field (or relevant construction purchasing experience)
- 5+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience within a construction environment
- Experience supporting multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced construction setting
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain effective vendor relationships
- Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement tools (BuildOps experience a plus)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across teams
