Job Description
Uplight is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain platform infrastructure for data ingestion, transformation, and delivery. The role focuses on ensuring data systems are scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient, supporting data science initiatives and enabling clean energy solutions. They seek someone who can integrate data, tooling, and best practices with cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of software engineering experience, ideally in data infrastructure or platform roles
- Experience with Databricks, Spark, or similar big data platforms
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for platform and pipeline development
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CircleCI, etc.)
- Strong system design skills and ability to think about scale, reliability, and cost trade-offs
- Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills
