Job Description
Upstox is seeking a Director of Data Science to lead the data science roadmap and create data-driven, AI-powered solutions. This role involves advanced machine learning models, Generative AI applications, and LLM-based systems to enhance customer experience and business insights. The ideal candidate will have a combination of technical expertise and business acumen, and the ability to translate insights into actionable outcomes.
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in Machine Learning, AI, or Data Science
- Proven expertise in LLMs and Generative AI
- Strong foundation in Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain, Hugging Face, or similar frameworks
- Proficient in data analysis, feature engineering, model evaluation, and production deployment
- Excellent understanding of NLP, deep learning architectures, and ML Ops pipelines
- Strategic thinker with long-term vision
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree from a Tier-1 institute (IIT, IISc, BITS, ISI, etc.) preferred
