Job Description
USAM DC is seeking a skilled Machinist to join their off-shift team. The role involves operating various woodworking power equipment like CNC routers, edge banders, and sanders. Key responsibilities include operating machinery, reading technical drawings, ensuring safety, and maintaining a clean work area.
Requirements
- Operates a variety of millwork machinery including a CNC, edge bander, table saws, and more.
- Ability to compute basic mathematics principles.
- Ability to read a tape measure, calculate fractions, and interpret engineering designs.
- Ability to multi-task and manage changes in priorities.
- Ability to adhere to safety practices.
- Ability to stand, move with ease, and lift 75lbs.
- Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
- Ability to interpret and translate engineering designs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Basic math skills to include fractions
